Stars shine brightly at night and The Milky Way Galaxy is visible with the naked eye, Our dark sky night lighting combined with dry desert condition low humidity results in a dark black night sky, great for star-gazing.

Even though it never snows in the Deer Valley (Deer Vally) Arizona Sonoran Desert, nevertheless in some years there is often good snow and ski conditions at nearby Snow Bowl Ski Resort in Flagstaff, Arizona. It's only a 2-hr drive north of Deer Valley on Arizona Interstate-17.

Skiing, snow-boarding and cross country ski snow conditions will vary widely from year-to-year based on how dry or wet the winter season is in Northern Arizona.
