They may also do marketing as a Christian Organization or an Education based school which does high-cost executive training seminars and classes on being a Christian leader in business and life. They may use Christian or Business Leader type of words in their name, publications, school and seminars to allegedly convey Christian values by implying it leads to success in business and executive leadership.
Please do not be misled by heavily disguised websites which are actually hugely successful money-making operations. They may pay very high salaries to the staff, especially their top executives who can make stunning incomes. Non-profit salaries and related expenses are often on a par or more vs for-profit corporations.
That major salary, fringe benefits and operating costs plus other often inflated expenses tends to offset a lot of their revenue so they can maintain alegal non-profit status. However, with all the assets and strong revenue they pay no taxes. And get other tax breaks and contributions by being non-profit via paying a surprisingly small percentage of total revenue and contributions to genuine charitable work.
The key to smart charitable giving is being well informed about non-profit charitable organizations before you write your check or donate your time. Here are some tips for giving wisely and additional resources to help guide you in making charitable donations.
Be an informed giver. Ask questions before you give. Give only when you feel comfortable that your donation will support an organization and activities in which you believe. If a solicitor calls, find out how much of your donation will actually go to the charity.
Refuse high-pressure appeals. Legitimate charities and charitable organizations will not rush you to donate money.

Consider alternative forms of giving. Consult with a personal financial advisor about the various ways to support a charity. These alternative forms of giving include charitable gift annuities, gifts in-kind, and endowments.
Volunteer. Giving of your time and personal skills can be as valuable as financial donations to nonprofit organizations. You can also benefit by meeting people who have shared interests.

People are to there self and don’t care about there neighbor. However, there are many ways that you can help people without them being a burden on you. I will give you a few ideas to get your brain rambling, since helping others is very rewarding.
What are some ways I can work with people? Many options are available for helping other people. It depends on what you like to do. Perhaps you would enjoy working with troubled children. This may be a way that you can enjoy living. You can call centers that specialize in helping troubled kids to see if volunteers are needed. Perhaps you can join schools that specialize in helping troubled children. You will also find hospitals that have high demands for people to help them deal with troubled children. Hospitals are available also that request volunteers to visit the elderly. Imaging how a person would feel if you come to visit and this person has no visitors at all. You can also find employment for nurses aides if you qualify. Doctors are always searching for new receptionists.
How will working with people help me to improve my life? When you work with others, helping them in life you improve your own life. You will feel better about you. You will feel like a new person. Helping others is a reward. You will notice that you feel healthier each time you help someone else.
How do I develop qualities to help other people? Helping others takes little skills. You will find qualities inside you that help you develop skills. For instance, we all have the ability to use self-awareness, or observational tools to observe others. When you take the time to study other people you will see their needs and wants. When you start to see their needs and wants you can move to help them. For instance, if you notice someone struggling to carry grocery bags to their car, you are observing a person in need. Why not give them a hand.
You can also help elderly people up stairs, in stores, or help them with their grocery shopping. Elderly people may have a problem reaching high on the shelves. If you are passing by, why not lend a hand. The hand you lend will come back and bite you in your time of need. In other words, someday someone will help you too when you start to grow older.
Helping others can include giving an ear. Many people struggle in life searching for answers to his or her problems. Perhaps if you lend an ear you may be able to help them find answers. In addition, you may find answers to your own problems. Many times answers are in front of us, yet we fail to see them too often. When you help others, those answers come to light.
In life, we all have to be willing to take risks. No, you are not going to play in a major highway, challenging your maker. Rather taking risks means trying new things in life. One of those new things in life involves helping others.
