Ole Miss dates back more than 150 years. It's also known as the University of Mississippi which is one of the most well known universities in the nation and ranks as one of the top universities in the U.S. Ole Miss ranks 8th in the nation for developing 24 Rhodes Scholars. It was founded in 1848 with only 80 students and now has about 20,000 student body. Ole Miss is located in the 19th century city of Oxford and lies in the rolling, tree-covered hills of northern Mississippi
